My painting practice is driven by my desire to connect and share experience. My models are people whom I admire for their strength and resilience. I am interested in the inherent drive to push through negativity and challenge.
Themes of vulnerability, process, and autonomy run through my work. This results in intimate portraits of power, and choice, which materialize the essence of each individual journey towards positive outcomes.
The work creates space for connection not only between artist and model, but by celebrating the human condition encourages the viewer to consider their own response to hardship.
My paintings offer a shared moment, to facilitate more profound conversations and deepen the relationship between artist, model and viewer.
